On Thursday the 17th March at 5 p.m. the Mayor of Newport, Rhode Island, Jeanne Marie Napolitano, and other dignitaries and visitors from Kinsale’s sister city will present a plaque to the people of Kinsale, thanking them for the Garden of Remembrance at Ringfinnan, Kinsale, which is dedicated to the 343 Firemen, who died in the Twin Towers disaster in New York on 9/11 and their Chaplain Fr Mychal Judge.
 
Everyone is invited to attend the Garden of Remembrance, Ringfinnan, Kinsale for the unveiling of the plaque.
