Huge congratulations are in order for Cork artist, Helen Condon, who was commissioned by Ravensburger (one of the world's biggest jigsaw and puzzle companies) to create a painting of Kinsale which was then transformed into a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.
After coming across Helen’s work online, while searching for a new contemporary design to introduce into the Irish and UK market, Sarah Stevens, Product Manager for Ravensburger, recognised that Helen’s style, attention to detail and use of colour would work well on a puzzle. Ideas and work started on the project in late 2019 and the finished product was launched to the market this week. It is now on sale on Amazon and in other arts and hobby stores.
The painting features a view of Kinsale town and harbour from Scilly and Summercove which shows Kinsale in all its colourful glory!
Helen is interested in how colour can affect our moods, and it’s easy to see why she admits to being “addicted to colour”! Her cheerful, bold and detailed paintings lift the spirits, capturing the beauty of the Irish countryside. Helen’s work includes both city and landscapes, flowers and animals and she is happy to accept commissions. More examples of her work can be found on her Facebook and Instagram pages Helen Condon Art.
Congratulations Helen, no doubt the first of many collaborations.
