Helen Wycherley has been announced at the 2019 President of Network Ireland - Ireland’s leading women’s business network.
The theme for Helen’s Presidency this year is “Step Up”. She wants to help women all around Ireland to fulfil their potential by empowering them to ‘step up and do more’.
Helen said: “Due to the structure and make-up of Network Ireland, I believe we are ideally placed to encourage women to put themselves forward more and to set more ambitious targets. Through my presidency of Network Ireland, I want to help women to fulfil their potential by empowering them to step up and do more. That is why I’ve chosen #StepUp as the theme for 2019.”
“I want to help and support our members, to do more and be more. So this year will be all about empowering women to step up to the challenge, to be ready to seize opportunities as they arise, to be confident and go for that promotion, apply for that grant application, go on State boards or take more risks and to say “I can” not “I might” or “maybe”.”
“The theme is nothing new. Indeed, I see Network Ireland’s ongoing purpose as helping women to #StepUp. Our mission, after all, is to lead the way for ambitious and enterprising women, support the professional and personal development of women and collaborate with government, private and non profit sectors to help women succeed.”
Helen, daughter of Gearóid and the late Nora May, Camp Hill, is a Director at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery, West Cork and the Marina Commercial Park in Cork City - both family businesses. She was previously President of the Network Ireland Cork branch.
