KINSALE PINK RIBBON WALK RAISES e102,849 FOR ACTION BREAST CANCER16 May 2012 The Committee of the 2012 Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk presented a cheque for €102,849 to Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, in the Temperance Hall on Tuesday 15th May. Kinsale Lions Charity Cycle16 April 2012 The recent Kinsale Lions Charity Cycle was a great success, with 220 cyclists taking part. The highly organised event left Kinsale Rugby grounds at Rathmore, and followed a 100km route via Old Head, Timoleague, Seven Heads to Clonakilty and back to Kinsale by the more direct route. A welcome lunch stop was provided at the GAA grounds in Clonakilty. Kinsale Lions Club are also pleased to announce that Mr. George Lee will be speaker at their Breakfast Meeting at the Trident Hotel, on Thursday 3rd. May. The event will start at 8am, and finish at 9.15am, both times guaranteeed. |

KINSALE PINK RIBBON WALK RAISES E100,000 FOR ACTION BREAST CANCER!05 April 2012 Sunday 4th March was a very special day for Kinsale and the 750 people who participated in the first Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk, their sponsors and supporters, the organising committee and 140 volunteers, as a staggering €100,000 was raised for Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society. "Walkers and runners had been out training in January and February, to get fit for the 10km run/walk as well as actively fundraising online and on their sponsorship cards. On behalf of the Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk Committee, all we can say is a huge 'Thank You' to everyone for their wonderful support and fantastic community spirit." |

Kinsale St Patricks Art Competition15 March 2012 Aoibhinn Lynch age 10 from Summercove N.S.has been judged as the overall winner of the 'Kinsale St Patrick's Art Competition' 2012. Her picture has been made into a poster to promote the festival. She will receive a copy of her work on canvas courtesy of Canvas Works Kinsale as her prize as well as a €75 voucher for the Kinsale OEC. |
Great news for Kinsale Community School13 March 2012 The girls of Kinsale Community School equalled last year’s achievement of the school’s hurlers when they won a senior All-Ireland title by beating St Mary’s of Midleton last Saturday on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-4.
