From art to poetry, early music to a specially commissioned soundscape on the 17th floor of Cork County Hall, there is a wide and wonderful programme for Cork County’s Culture Night celebrations on Friday, September 19th.

Culture Night covers all the bases across Ireland’s largest county. For one special night everyone can enjoy the unique experience of a night of FREE entertainment, discovery and adventure. For full details visit your local library, arts centre or venue or visit: www.culturenightcorkcounty.ie

In West Cork specifically, there are countless opportunities to get involved. Some of the highlights include a concert in St Multose in Kinsale, the opening night of Kinsale Arts Festival, The Rabbit Hole Project in Bantry, an exhibition of photography by Richie Tyndall in Clonakilty Community Arts Centre, internationally renowned artist Michael McSwiney, will exhibit some of his paintings and sculptures in The Loft Gallery also in Clonakilty and the Liss Ard Estate will host an Early Music event with multi-instrumentalist, Nina Treadwell and flautist, Aoife O’Donovan.

So, bring the children, catch up with friends, meet new people, participate, interact and experience the exhilaration of free entry, live performances, workshops, tours, talks, drama, dance and a whole range of other creative activities. Culture Night brings together a unique and diverse audience who all share a desire to explore and enjoy culture.

County Cork’s Culture Night is funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Cork County Council.
