Stunning vintage & classic cars are already brightening up Kinsale on this miserable May morning in preparation for the Kinsale Vintage & Classic Car Rally which takes place this weekend.
Over 100 cars will be on display on Pearse Street on Saturday, a wonderful opportunity for car lovers of all ages to get up close to these amazing vehicles.
The official launch, with newly crowned Miss Cork, took place at the Blue Haven Hotel, main sponsor, on Wednesday 15th April last.
Now entering its 26th year, it is widely regarded as one of the premier events on the 
Irish classic car calendar.
Following the twinning of Kinsale with the Welsh town of Mumbles in 1990, KVCMC also decided to twin with the town's own car club, The Swansea Historic Vehicle Register. Each year sees large numbers of SHVR members make the trip to Kinsale for the May rally, a gesture that is returned each July when the club makes the return trip to Swansea.
Kinsale Vintage & Classic Motor Club was originally established in 1988 by a group of classic car enthusiasts, the club has since grown to a current membership of over 100 members. All members share a common passion - their love of driving and preserving the classic cars of yesteryear. Indeed one could ask for no better setting than the historic town of Kinsale and the surrounding beauty of the West Cork countryside.
