The Kinsale Lions Club is holding its Annual Golf Classic on Thursday 7th July. Kinsale Golf Club has again kindly provided the course for the Lions on that day, last year’s event was one of the largest & a huge success for all concerned.
The entry fee will be €320 for a team of four people. A meal with wine will be provided in the clubhouse following the round, and there will be a large selection of prizes.
Once again, there is an exciting prize for a HOLE IN ONE on the 11th green
[if more than one player scores a hole in one, the winner of the car will be decided by supervised draw at prize-giving ceremony].
The prize, as before, is a stunning new Volvo V40 worth circa €29,000 generously sponsored by Volvo at Johnson & Perrott Mahonpoint.
All monies raised will go to local charities & deserving causes in the area. Over the past number of years, Kinsale & District Lions Club has managed to raise over €500,000 for various charities, including the sick children in Cork hospitals, Kinsale RNLI Lifeboat, the Kinsale Community College, the Coastal walks, the Day Care Centre, Sáile Youth & Sports project, the Red Cross and many other local deserving causes. Kinsale Lions have provided and continue to maintain defibrillators in six locations, as well as facilitating the necessary training & retraining required to operate and maintain them.
