Posted by Kinsale Advertiser on Tuesday 28 January 2014

Kinsale Chamber of Business & Tourism and Kinsale Good Food Circle enjoyed a very successful Holiday World last weekend 24-26th January at the RDS, Dublin.

With tens of thousands of visitors over the weekend, and the ‘Kinsale Giant’ and the ‘Ghost of Kinsale’, the Kinsale.ie stand was kept very busy with enquiries and over 2,500 entries to the competition. Top prize included the chance to win a luxury weekend at the Trident Hotel with Golf at the world famous Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links and dinner at a Kinsale Good Food Circle Restaurant. This was won by Teresa McGrath from Ardmore, Co Waterford.

Minister of State for Tourism, Michael Ring TD was welcomed to the Kinsale Stand on Saturday afternoon by Hal McElroy, Chairman of Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business. He complimented ‘Team Kinsale’ on a very professional stand and enjoyed a few tastes of Kinsale – some delicious patés from the Blue Haven Food Company, sponsored by the Kinsale Good Food Circle.

Many of Kinsale’s businesses were represented including The Trident Hotel, Acton’s, The Blue Haven, Kinsale Pottery, Kinsale Harbour Cruises, Cronin’s, Kinsale Ghost Tour, Kinsale Historical Walking Tour, Jim Edwards, The White House, The White Lady, The Man Friday, Kinsale Yacht Club and Glebe Country House,
