Artists Raise Money for RNLI Volunteers with Kinsale Exhibition
Posted by Kinsale Advertiser on Thursday 19 October 2017

Kinsale woodturner Hilary Hale is very glad to have her electricity and water back after Storm Ophelia, but says: “Forget the weather and the shorter days for a moment. Who didn't get to stay at home during ex hurricane Ophelia? That's right. The emergency services such as the RNLI volunteers.”

Hilary is inviting both visitors and neighbours to her welcoming home and art gallery at Rincurran Hall in Summercove, just outside Kinsale, to see some great art, ceramics and jewellery as well as her own woodturning and raising money for the RNLI.

The ever-popular RNLI cards and calendars will also be on sale, plus a percentage of all the sales will go to the RNLI to support those who look after anyone in trouble off our coastline. Show your appreciation for the RNLI's courageous crew members and helpers, giving their time voluntarily, and support this essential service. The art exhibition is an annual fundraiser as well as a great opportunity to stock up on presents for Christmas, or housewarming or wedding gifts.

This year nine artists are exhibiting:

– David Begley (monotypes, drawings, etchings)
– Anne A. Bologna (cards and batiks)
– Hilary Hale (woodturning)
– HEN Jewellery
– Hilary Nunan (paintings and constructions)
– Ralph Pickles (rustic furniture)
– Natasha Pike (paintings)
– Siobhan Steele (ceramics)
– Hanneke van Ryswyk (paintings)

The launch is at 6.30 pm on Friday 3rd November – all are welcome including press!
The gallery will also be open from 11–5 on 4th and 5th November.
Rincurran Hall is half way down the hill from Summercove School to the Bulman pub.
There's a facebook page with examples of the artist's work, and you can
