Popular jazz singer and Ambassador for the Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk, Sharon Crosbie will launch details of the third walk at the ‘Pink Party’ on Friday 22nd November at the White Lady nightclub from 8pm.

Tickets (€10) are now on sale from Kinsale Pharmacy, Finishing Services and the White Lady.

The highlight of the Pink Party is the recording by Sharon Crosbie & Friends of her signature version of ‘Amazing Grace’, that is sure to keep the crowd inspired for their training and fundraising over the coming months. Sharon will involve everyone in the recording and will release it as a Christmas single, to benefit the Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk.

The Pink Party supports the Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk that takes place on Sunday 2nd March 2014 to benefit Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society.

“The Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk raised over €103,000 in March this year and over €102,000 in 2012 for Action Breast Cancer, a phenomenal achievement for which all participants, their sponsors and the entire community in Kinsale can all be proud,” said Jackie Dawson, Chairperson Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk.

“While the fundraising has been extraordinary – particularly in these difficult times -  we acknowledge and sincerely thank our generous sponsors, donors and volunteers who continue to support this fantastic project. It is also a great way of fundraising while having fun and getting fit as a group,” she added.

Together with other Pink Ribbon Walks in Ireland, over €800,000 has been raised to date for Action Breast Cancer.
